Soft Washing Built
for Mount Horeb's Shade and Tree Cover
Mount Horeb sits in the wooded Driftless country, and the humid climate paired with a heavy tree canopy loads algae, mold, and moss onto siding, roofs, walkways, driveways, and patios. That growth is worst on shaded, north-facing walls and on the flatwork that stays damp longest. The mature street trees in the established neighborhoods and the wooded lots on the northwest edge keep surfaces damp longer, which is exactly what feeds that organic film.
Around here the homes run mostly vinyl siding, with fiber cement on newer builds and painted wood and some stucco closer to the older village center. Each of those surfaces needs a different touch, and we clean all of them. We soft wash: low pressure and the right cleaners on siding and roofs, with pressure held back for hard surfaces like concrete. That takes the growth off without harming the surface underneath.

Pressure Washing for Mount Horeb
Homes and Businesses
Most of our Mount Horeb work is on homes, with a steady commercial side alongside it. We clean mostly vinyl siding here, along with fiber cement on newer homes and painted wood and stucco closer to the older village center. Each surface gets the touch it needs, so nothing strips and no water gets driven behind the finish.
Residential Pressure Washing
Here’s what we do on a home, and how we do it:
- House washing: a soft wash on vinyl, fiber cement, painted wood, and stucco. Low pressure and a professional chlorinated cleaner (the same kind used in swimming pools) at low strength, rinsed off with high water volume. We wash and rinse one half of the house at a time, and stucco gets extra care.
- Roof cleaning: no high pressure. Our Mt. Horeb roof cleaning lifts moss and algae without stripping the protective granules that keep your shingles doing their job. It’s the best value bundled with a house wash. Asphalt shingle and flat rubber roofs only.
- Window cleaning: exterior glass, cleaned during a house wash rather than as a standalone visit. We clean windows as part of a house wash, so your glass finishes bright without a separate trip. Older or leaded glass on historic homes is cleaned gently by hand.
- Gutter cleaning: clearing plus downspout flushing. We’ll clean and flush your gutters and flag anything that looks off, but we don’t take on repairs or gutters that can’t be reached safely. We work from a 24-foot extension pole and switch to hand-scooping and leaf-blowing late in the season as things freeze.
- Driveway and concrete cleaning: a pre-treat, surface-clean, and post-treat on flat concrete, brick, and stone. Oil stains are handled square by square, and new concrete that hasn’t cured yet gets a gentle rinse instead of pressure.
- Deck and patio cleaning: we clean decks and lift the organic buildup, but we don’t strip stain, and a composite deck that’s already been pitted by high pressure can’t be brought all the way back. Wood, composite, and stone, including pool decks.
- Fence cleaning: vinyl and wood, medium pressure worked from multiple angles, careful not to mar the wood. We can clean a wood fence before you restain it.
- Rust removal: we treat the stain and lift what we can. Results depend on how deep the rust has set into the pores, so we’re straight with you about what a given surface will release before we start.
A spring soft-wash pass on the siding and an early-fall flatwork clean before the leaves drop is the common rhythm here, with the late-season freeze shortening the window. Booking that first pass early in the season gives the cleaners the most working time before the cold sets in.
Commercial Pressure Washing
We serve commercial properties across the area, and we can take on:
- Building and facade washing: commercial building exteriors, such as the older painted-wood and masonry storefronts along the downtown Main Street corridor, cleaned with runoff and traffic managed as we go.
- Storefront and entryway cleaning: the surfaces and entryways of retail and commercial properties, kept fresh for the customers walking in.
- Drive-through lane cleaning: the grease- and grime-heavy lanes and surrounding surfaces at restaurants, degreased and rinsed.
- Parking lot and garage cleaning: lots and multi-level garages, with sweeping and oil-runoff control on oily decks.
- Apartment and multi-family washing: building exteriors coordinated with property managers on tenant prep and access.
- Exterior cleaning for HOAs: cleaning programs for HOAs and community associations, coordinated across the property.
- Dumpster pad cleaning: pads cleaned and degreased, with oil and grease runoff captured.
- Gum removal: loosened and lifted off concrete, usually bundled with cleaning the surrounding surface.
- Graffiti removal: spray paint and marker taken off brick and cement, available on request.
- Parking lot striping: line striping and markings for small commercial lots, quoted on request.
- Driveway, concrete, and gutter cleaning: the same flatwork and gutter services we run on homes, sized for commercial properties.
- Rust and mineral-stain removal: treatment-based stain removal on commercial surfaces.
We work cleanly around open businesses with cone-directed traffic control, careful runoff management that keeps nothing running into the streets, and a clear prep list, so your operation keeps running while we clean. After-hours scheduling is available when that’s the better fit.
Why Mount Horeb Homeowners
Choose Us
A few things come up again and again in what our customers tell us. They’re the standards we hold on every job.
Soft Wash, No Surface Damage
We soft wash, using low pressure and the right cleaners so your siding, stucco, and roof get clean without damage. It’s the correct professional method for siding and roofs, not an upgrade you pay extra for. Pressure stays reserved for hard surfaces like concrete.
Talk to the Owner From the First Call
You get our owner’s direct line from the very first call: immediate contact, immediate answers. There’s no call center and no runaround. The person who quotes your job is the one who stands behind it.
A Family Father-and-Son Team
We’re a family business. It’s our own father-and-son team doing the cleaning, not a rotating crew. The same two people are on your property, so the work stays consistent from the first visit to the next.
We Protect Your Plants, Pets, and Property
We protect your plants, pets, and property, watering vegetation before and after, using pool-strength cleaners at low concentration, and rinsing with high water volume. Especially in summer heat, wetting the plants down before and after keeps the cleaning safe for your landscaping.

How Our Mount Horeb
Pressure Washing Works
From your first call to a finished job, here’s how it goes.
Call the Owner Directly for a Quote
You reach our owner directly by phone, and contact and response are immediate. Most quotes are handled right over the phone with no on-site visit, though an in-person visit is available when you need one. Phones are answered Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
A Few Quick Questions to Build the Quote
We ask about size, surfaces, siding type, and any specific concerns like oil stains, stucco, or older windows so we can build an accurate quote. We’ll also point you to our website and Google reviews to get a feel for the family operation.
Scheduling and How to Prep
We set an arrival time around your needs and tell you how to prep: close your windows, and water your plants before and after, especially in the heat. Commercial customers get a prep list. For out-of-town customers, we ask for prepayment or that someone be present on the day of service.
Cleaning Day
We soft wash the house one half at a time, cooling hot windows with water first, protecting plants and bird nests, and including the front porch and the walkway out to the driveway. The work runs on high-volume machines, large surface cleaners for the flatwork, and a 24-foot extension pole for the gutters. We carry water on the truck but always need a water source at the property. On Mount Horeb’s shaded, wooded lots the north walls and slow-drying flatwork carry the heaviest growth, so those areas get the most attention.
Finish and Payment
We confirm you’re satisfied before we pack up. Payment is taken on completion by check or cash, with credit cards accepted by exception, and we’ll send a Google review link if you’re happy with the work.
